(D & AD) W.I.P.
Current Work
After filming all my shots and compiling my 30 second footage together. I exported the film as an image sequence, to see how many frames I would have to rotoscope... Turned out I had to trace over 700 frames. So far so good though, i've managed to get most of the outlining done for each scene, heres a small example of how its looking with the outlines:
Uncertainties!
I'm still not 100% sure on what kind of sound and music I could use to boost the appeal for my Ident. My lecturers believe that using enticing or indulging kind of sounds would fit this guilty pleasure very well, and increase the fact that its all a guilty pleasure. Then again, I still have doubts on what music I could use along with it, since sound alone seems a bit too quiet for something like E4.
A Good example of this would be the Diesel: SFW XXX viral advert, which I wont be linking or embeding into this blog for obvious reasons.

(D & AD) Idea + Tests
Decisions Made!
I have decided to base my E4 TV promo on the guilty pleasures of preparing snacks before watching a movie. I shall show this by doing fast extreme close up cuts of different snacks and food someone would prepare before watching a movie. Such as opening a packet of crisps, making popcorn, pouring a drink etc.
To make my Ident much more appealing, I have decided to represent all the snacks in a more funky cartoony looking way. Fitting with E4's whole theme of being colourful and exciting. I shall portray this by rotoscoping each scene in Adobe Flash, with a very simple style of drawn brush strokes and solid colour fills.
This video from Youtube inspired me the most:
Here is an animation of one of my class mates which I filmed then rotoscoped in Flash. It is a quick test of how I will animate my rotoscope style:
